These two towns compete for the title of wettest place on Earth, and it shows. Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, and countless unnamed drops appear all along the road here. Even outside peak monsoon, the region stays green and misty year-round.

Most crews base themselves in Shillong between excursions. It's a genuinely different city experience: a strong live-music scene, cafes worth lingering in, and Ward's Lake for a slow morning walk.
